Our Story

For years, I’ve worked with children who have autism and other disabilities. One year, I found myself working alone with a particular student who was deemed inept to thrive in a traditional classroom setting. Most days, we were in various rooms together, just the two of us. To pass the time, I brought in two iPads, which helped keep us occupied, but also gave me the space to think about my own life. I had always longed for something different than the conventional 9-to-5 grind, so during these long hours, I often found myself researching ways to make money online. My best friend, who owns several businesses, had always encouraged me to think beyond the usual path. His “what if” approach to life planted the seed for me to explore entrepreneurship. While spending time with my student, I would read books with him when we ran out of other activities. One day, feeling unmotivated and apathetic about starting my own business, I picked up one of his books. It was like a sign from God—the realization hit me: this was the path I wanted to take. I fell in love with the idea of selling books. Each book is unique, serving its own purpose to the reader. Books provide more than just a story; they engage the emotions, offer a sense of connection,  let the reader innovate their own ideas/interpretations of the story being told, and most importantly, they’re accessible anywhere. Whether on a train, a bus, or in a quiet room with nothing else to do—like the one I was often in—books can transport you to a different world. I began using one of the iPads I had brought in, to scour the internet for a sustainable business model for selling books. Once I had my plan in place, I launched my company and set out on this new adventure.
